Monday: Word list goes home for daily study
Monday-Tuesday: (During our Daily 5- Word Study Center)
-Spelling and phonetic concepts will be introduced: rhyming words, word families, vowel combinations, etc.)
-Students will create sentences using the core spelling words.
-We will be incorporating our iPads into this center, using apps that support our goals for Word Study
Thursday:
-Practice paper goes home for skill development
Friday:
-Review core words, sentence dictation and skill development activity (spelling assessment).
-These activities will be checked and a new list of individualized spelling words will be sent home on the following Monday.
***Please keep papers handy so that you can review the words periodically with your child.
